2. Consider the location. Do you want your portraits taken in a studio, or would you prefer an outdoor setting that reflects your personality? Look for a photographer who offers both options, or is open to shooting in a location that is meaningful to you.

3. Don't be afraid to ask questions. It's important to feel comfortable with your photographer, so don't be shy about asking them about their experience, their process, and what to expect on the day of the shoot.
