About Sherri
Photography has always been about more than just beautiful images to me.
It’s about connection, confidence, personality, and preserving moments that pass far too quickly.
My goal is to create portraits that truly feel like you — not stiff or overly posed, but authentic, fun, emotional, and full of personality. Whether I’m photographing a high school senior, performer, tween, teen, or family, I want you to walk away feeling seen, confident, and celebrated.
Before we ever pick up the camera, I take time to get to know you — your style, interests, personality, and what matters most to you. That’s what helps me create images that feel personal and meaningful instead of “just photos.”
When I’m not behind the camera, life is wonderfully creative around here. My husband performs in a band, my oldest daughter is a talented creator, and my youngest daughter is pursuing her dream of performing after graduating with a degree in Musical Theatre. Creativity, music, theatre, dance, and storytelling have always been a huge part of our lives, which is probably why I especially love working with performers and teens discovering who they are.
I also LOVE to travel. New York City has my heart, but honestly, give me sunshine, waves, and warm sand and I’m happy anywhere. Destination sessions have become one of my favorite parts of this business. Since 2018, I’ve photographed clients in places like New York City, Nashville, Denver, Orange Beach, Orlando, the Outer Banks, and beyond — and I’m always dreaming about the next adventure.
And then there are the animals who occasionally think they run the studio. Brynn, Luna, Jack, Loki, and our grandkitty Ursula are all very committed to supervising sessions and client meetings whenever allowed — and somehow they usually end up stealing the show.
A few random things about me:
- I’m still learning to feel comfortable on the other side of the camera myself.
- I firmly believe almost everything is better with lemon.
- I love carrot cake, a good margarita, and avoiding road construction at all costs.
Most importantly, I truly believe photography is powerful.
Years from now, these images become more than something posted online. They become reminders of who your child was in this season — their laugh, confidence, personality, passions, and all the little things you never want to forget.
That’s why I do what I do.
I would love to welcome you to the studio sometime to see the space, dream up ideas together, and create something unforgettable.
